When not to wait for DarDoc
DarDoc Newborn Care is not an emergency service. If a baby is blue or grey, struggling to breathe, unusually difficult to wake, having a seizure, bleeding heavily, or appears seriously unwell, seek urgent medical help.
Follow any escalation plan given by the baby’s paediatrician or hospital team.
Messages sent outside support hours may be reviewed when the team returns. Do not rely on a queued support message for an urgent medical situation.
You can contact us before you are ready to book
You do not need to know the exact schedule or plan before speaking with DarDoc.
Tell us what is making the newborn period difficult, what support you already have, and when you feel the most stretched. The Care Team will help you understand whether one-time care or a recurring 28-day plan is the better fit.
The first conversation is practical
You will not be expected to know every answer. Start with the baby’s age, location, preferred timing, and the main problem you want help with.
The team may ask more questions because the right caregiver and schedule depend on the details. Those questions are part of creating a suitable plan, not a reason to pressure you into paying.
Before ending the conversation
Make sure you understand:
What DarDoc is checking
When you should expect an update
Whether a caregiver has been identified
What the proposed schedule covers
The current price and renewal basis
What must happen before the booking is confirmed
If any part is unclear, ask. A good care arrangement should feel understandable before it becomes a commitment.
