A failed renewal payment means the next care cycle is not successfully paid.
Why a payment may fail
Possible reasons include:
Card expired
Bank declined the transaction
Insufficient available funds
Online or recurring payments disabled
Additional bank verification required
Payment method changed
DarDoc usually cannot see or change the bank’s reason for declining a card.
What to do
Review the payment message.
Check the card with your bank if needed.
Use the secure Stripe-hosted billing journey provided by DarDoc to update the payment method.
Complete the required payment.
Wait for DarDoc’s confirmation.
Will the caregiver still be dispatched?
Caregiver dispatch depends on a successfully paid and confirmed care plan. If payment remains outstanding, the caregiver will not be dispatched for the unpaid period.
Act promptly if you want to avoid interruption.
Avoid duplicate payment
If your bank shows a charge but DarDoc shows payment as incomplete, send the Care Team the transaction time, amount, and receipt. Do not pay again until the team checks the status.
Update payment details securely
Use only the Stripe-hosted link provided through the DarDoc journey. Check the domain before entering payment information.
An agent or caregiver does not need your card PIN or one-time password. Never share either.
Confirm the new care status
Updating a card does not by itself prove that the renewal charge succeeded. Wait for confirmation that payment is complete and the next care period remains active.
