How to raise a Newborn Care concern or complaint

If something does not feel right, tell DarDoc. Early feedback gives the team a better opportunity to understand and correct the issue.

  • Household-boundary concerns

Information to include

Send:

  • Parent or booking holder’s name

  • Baby or care recipient’s name

  • Caregiver’s name

  • Date, time, and location

  • Clear description of what happened

  • What you expected

  • Whether anyone is currently at risk

  • The outcome you need

Include relevant evidence when appropriate, but avoid sharing sensitive material in an insecure or unnecessary way.

What happens next?

DarDoc may review booking records, speak with the caregiver and family, examine relevant communications, and decide what corrective action is appropriate.

The response can depend on the seriousness and complexity of the concern.

What a fair review looks like

The team may need to compare the complaint with the agreed care plan, shift record, messages, and accounts from the people involved. This can take longer than giving an immediate informal answer.

DarDoc should still acknowledge the concern, explain what information is needed, and tell you what happens next.

Tell us the outcome you need

You may want an explanation, replacement, schedule correction, payment review, or a safety investigation. Stating the desired outcome helps the team respond properly, although the final action depends on the facts and applicable terms.

Immediate danger

If a baby or another person is in immediate danger, make the situation safe and seek urgent medical or emergency help. Do not wait for a routine complaint review.
