Every DarDoc newborn caregiver is female, directly employed by DarDoc, NICU-trained, BLS-certified, medically tested, and has at least two years of newborn experience.
Her work is organised around the agreed care plan and may include feeding support, soothing, hygiene, overnight routines, and parent guidance within her training and scope.
A maternity nurse
In general usage, a maternity nurse may support a mother and baby during the postnatal period. Qualifications and permitted duties can vary significantly.
Do not assume that every person using this title holds the same licence, training, or clinical scope. Ask what the professional is qualified and authorised to do.
A nanny
A nanny generally supports childcare and household routines. Experience may include babies, toddlers, or older children, but newborn-specific clinical training is not guaranteed.
The role can be valuable, but it is not automatically equivalent to a DarDoc newborn caregiver.
