Common DarDoc Blood Test categories and what they examine

Explore common testing categories without treating a panel name as a diagnosis.

DarDoc offers broad checkups and focused panels. The categories below explain the kinds of questions they can support. They do not determine which test is medically appropriate for you.

General health and periodic checkups

These panels combine biomarkers from several body systems to provide a baseline or periodic overview. Check the exact inclusions because panel size and preparation vary.

Blood count and iron status

Complete blood count and iron-related biomarkers can support assessment of anaemia, blood-cell patterns, and iron stores. Interpretation depends on symptoms, sex, age, health history, and other values.

Glucose and metabolic health

Fasting glucose, HbA1c, insulin-related markers, and lipid testing can support assessment of blood-sugar control and cardiometabolic risk. Fasting requirements differ by test.

Liver, kidney, and electrolytes

These panels measure values associated with organ function, waste handling, proteins, enzymes, and mineral balance. Abnormal results may have several possible explanations.

Thyroid and hormone panels

Hormone results can be affected by timing, medicines, menstrual cycle, pregnancy, illness, and the specific clinical question. Follow timing instructions carefully.

Vitamin and mineral testing

Testing can help confirm whether a suspected deficiency is present before starting or changing high-dose supplementation.

Allergy, intolerance, and sexual health testing

These are different categories with different methods and meanings. A positive result, antibody finding, or panel output may require professional interpretation and should not automatically trigger major dietary or treatment changes.
